Custom Estimating Software

JXS Software provide customised software to suit your estimating and risk analysis needs. In addition to customised applications written in Visual Basic, JXS Software will provide customised spreadsheets incorporating special routines not normally found in Excel.

Estimating Systems

Probably the most important part of any estimating system is the data organisation. If you appear to be surrounded by data but have difficulty in finding the exact data needed for an estimate or if you are constantly having to re-enter the same information, it may be that your system needs modifying. In this context, systems are not confined to computer systems. JXS Software can help you - for example with a system audit or modification to your spreadsheet program(s).

Training

Training is normally provided on the client's own premises but can be arranged at other locations if more convenient.

• Estimating
  Classroom training can be provided for general or specific estimating topics such as risk analysis, cost curve use and fitting to data, data organisation, estimate quality auditing.

• Computer
  Hands-on training can be provided not only for custom software but also for other commonly used packages such as databases, spreadsheets or even word processors; in particular the widely used Microsoft packages - Excel and Word.

  More advanced courses such as programming for Microsoft Excel, Access and Visual Basic or Borland Paradox and Delphi can also be undertaken.

Consultancy

Including system reviews, estimating performance assessment, estimate post mortems, data organisation and analysis, or indeed anything connected to the estimating or risk analysis process.
